What is Family Connections?

Families with special needs children often feel scared, frustrated, helpless, and alone. This is not what we had planned for our children or ourselves. Family Connections of Michigan is a nonprofit organization that provides psychoeducational and therapeutic support for parents and families of children with special needs.

Family Connections recognizes that while many services exist for our children, it remains a challenge to find services to support parents and families. We are a multi-service agency which not only offers services for children, but also offers programs and services to support and validate the often over-looked needs of the parents. By helping parents to connect with other parents who share similar experiences, we aim to empower parents to feel confident, capable, and most-of-all not alone.

We are parents helping parents parent. We will help create stronger families.

It is our mission to support and strengthen parents and families of children with special needs through connections and shared experiences.
